The day of revolution... The first iPhone launched

     iPhone, the first smartphone model of Apple launched on 9 January 2007. In this era, almost everyone has at least one smartphone in their hand. It is one of the most convenient and necessary tool in this century. With smartphone connected to the internet, we are allowed to contact anyone in the world, search for any information we want, navigate us to a place that we are not familiar with, sharing feed to our friend, online shopping and more. Almost everyone especially the young generation could not even live without a smartphone in their hand. Apple can proudly say that iPhone successfully changed the living style of human since the iPhone is the cornerstone of the modern smartphone concept.



    The first generation of iPhone came with 3.5 inches multi-touch TFT touch screen, 2 MP camera, 4 or 8 GB capacity (released 16 GB version on 5 February 2008), 128 MB RAM, the first iPhone OS (renamed into iOS starting version 4.0) operating system (upgraded to iOS 3.1.3) and 412 MHz CPU. Compared with the latest model of smartphones in 20-decade, this specification could not even run a browser smoothly. However, it was an "alien technology" already during that 2.5G era.


    The iPhone was officially released in the market on 29 June 2007 with $499 (4 GB) and $599 (8 GB) in the USA, both requiring a 2-year-contract by AT&T. During that day, thousands of people have waited outside the AT&T and Apple retail stores to get their device. Many outlets reported stock shortage less than an hour of availability. Many off-duty of policemen were hired to maintain the order of surrounding. The iPhone also available in Europe region in November 2007.

    People never imagine such a thing as "smartphone" before. However, Apple broke the frame and designed the iPhone, which became the cornerstone of modern smartphone design nowadays. Can you imagine how's the new revolution of the new smartphone that changes the world in the future?
