First underground subway in the world
10 January 1863, the first underground subway has been established to the public which operated by Metropolitan Railway, connected Paddington Station, London and Farringdon Tube Station, London. The total length of the first subway route is 6.5 km only, operated by steam train.
In the 21st century, this route was extended until 88.5 km which connected 61 stations which make it into the longest subway route in the world.
